Board Member and Chief of Sales, Kimura Foundry America, Inc.
Mr. Kimura is a 19-year veteran of Kimura Foundry Co. and its longtime top sales executive. He was responsible for overseeing the company’s first formal international expansion with the launching of its new USA business and Chicago headquarters.
He joined the company in 1997 as an employee in a Kimura pattern shop, and worked in various positions of increasing responsibility across the company’s four facilities. In 2002, he joined the company’s sales department, where he quickly rose to Chief of Sales, overseeing sales strategy, execution and growth across Japan and worldwide.
Mr. Kimura has continuously brought important new value to Kimura’s customers. Among much else, he was responsible for improving quality of casting solutions used by manufacturers of industrial pumps, compressors and large and small engines. He also played the leading role in developing and expanding Kimura’s global business relationship with GE.
Mr. Kimura was appointed Managing Director of Kimura Foundry Co. in 2011. He holds a Bachelors in Engineering from Kyushu Tokai University in Kumamoto.

Dr. Yoya Fukuda is one of the world’s preeminent engineers and inventors in the mass production and rapid prototyping of custom iron, steel and speciality alloy castings.
He currently oversees all aspects of the company’s North American strategy and execution and is based out of Kimura’s USA headquarters in Chicago.
A 20-year veteran of Kimura Foundry Co., Dr. Fukuda worked closely with former President Hiroyoshi Kimura to develop new, award-winning processes, techniques and coatings to improve the quality of mass-production iron and steel castings. Shortly thereafter, he was put in charge of introducing Kimura’s castings and technologies to large multinational customers outside of Japan, paving the way for the company’s initial international expansion.
In 2013, he started Kimura’s rapid prototype casting business, developing new technologies that improved quality, cut manufacturing cost and dramatically shortened production time for RP and other special purpose castings that are 100% free of defects. The company’s rapid prototyping and short-run production business grew 630% in three years. Kimura is now the No. 1 independent supplier of iron, steel and alloy castings in Japan and one of the biggest worldwide.
In 2015, Dr. Fukuda turned his attention to helping the company develop its new USA business, and this year, he was named President of Kimura Foundry America, Inc. He works closely with Kimura customers, business partners and other key stakeholders in North America and around the world.
Dr. Fukuda holds a degree in chemistry from the University of Science and Technology Beijing and a degree in metallurgy and material sciences from Waseda University in Tokyo.

With more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing technology, Mr. Burns provides strategy and execution guidance and advice to Kimura’s Japan-based and international leadership.
He is the Co-Founder and former President and Chief Operating Officer of The ExOne Company, a NASDAQ-listed 3D printing equipment company, one of the pioneers of the fast-growing additive manufacturing industry. ExOne was the original exclusive licensee of the 3D printing process for metal parts and tooling that was developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Mr. Burns is the former President & CEO of the Gleason Corporation, a machine tool company headquartered in Rochester, NY. He is also Senior Advisor to the Association of Manufacturing Technology (AMT), where he previously served as Board Chairman.
He currently serves as a Trustee for the Rochester Institute of Technology and is the recipient of the 2013 Carnegie National Science Award for Advanced Manufacturing. He earned a BA in Economics from St. John Fisher College in Rochester and an MBA from the University of Rochester’s William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration.
